Exhaust Woes...

Ok I'm sure this has been addressed before, so I'm sorry to be repetitive, but...

I hear that it is impossible to find a good exhaust for our car (I have 97 3.0), and that I should buy one for the Accord V6 and modify it. However, I wasn't exactly planning to install it myself (kinda big job for a first-timer) and so here's my question... If I order an Accord's exhaust and take it to an import shop and tell them to put it on, will they most likely know what to do, or do I need to modify it on my own before I take it in there? Additionally, what exact changes need to be made? Are we talking bolts not fitting or are we talking about sawing off pipes? I hate to ask such a dumb question, but I really have no clue.

Thirdly, which exhaust would you guys suggest? I want something that looks nice and shiny with a big hole (lol), and I want it to be moderately loud, as in, people will know it's me when I'm approaching, but I won't be annoying to neighbors five blocks away. Any suggestions? Thanks...

i used to have a tanabe g power medallion exhaust from a 97 accord. the only difference between the accord exhaust and ours is that ours is a little bit longer. to fix that, the shop just added (welded) a little more pipe to it. other than that..all the hangers fit right and all the curves are in the right place.

i loved my tanabe before it got stolen, and my apexi N1 i have on now is good, but getting louder and louder. i say tanabe personally.

Yeah make sure you arent getting the 98-00 Accord exhaust...that won't fit well. The 94-97 accord is the one you want. I have been searching for a good exhaust too...you would have to ask the shop to custom fit it..whether it be to add more pipe or what not..
