Exhaust stuff

my friend is going to buy sum exhaust piping and mufflers off of sum magazine i 4got what its called and hes going to do his exhaust w/ that by himself. ( hes not dumb he knows what hes doing i built the one he has on now ). but im thinkin of doing the same on my cl but ill go w/ dual maybe quad exhaust sumthin liek 2.5 piping i guess...what do you guys think should i just replace the muffler i have now...its just a little nicked here and there..or do you think it would b a good idea to do it they described ^^. its alot cheaper this way too.

go w/ duals w/ 2.5 piping?? exactly same as what i have.. it costs me around $300 for custon piping job w/ resonator at a local shop.. i'm sure u can do it a lot cheaper if u do it urself

with duals and 2.5 inch piping on your 2.3 u'll be having very low back pressure... stick with single and go with 2.25 inch unless you have a turbo.

yeah.. u will be having low back pressure.. but oh well.. i dont drive fast.. actually can't.. w/ CL.. :P

so.. I don't mind.. and.. actually u can't really feel the difference..

duals onthe cl will look as fuck unless you do somethignto the back bumper

there is a difference. you will lose precious tourqe with large diameter piping.

and what i mean by large is anything over 2.25"

i got a 3.0 and i went up to 2.5" and i could feel a little loss up to about 3000 RPM's

o then maybe 2.25 one of my other friends was saying either 2.25 or 2.5 no more than 2.5 though ... cuz we were talkin about my car n its non turbo ( obviously ). what are your guy's oppinoins on quad? my friends say itl b loud as shyt but i want it to b silent at idle or moving very slow ( good for sneaking in at night or out ) but loud as hell when i floor it.

oh yea one more thing me and him were thinking about maybe doin straight pipes...what do you guys think? itl be the only cl like that in my area

thanks for the neg rep :noob:

please the number of tips has very little to do with sound, its quality of muffler and size of resonators (if any) just so you know ... 3" can flow enough air for 900 HP so 2.5 is probably a good bet
