The exhaust on my car needs to be replaced. My parents would pay for just a basic exhaust, but of course i want to upgrade the exhaust. I also dont want an exhaust with that annoying high pitch, and I dont want something that you can hear coming from a mile away. I think im leaning toward the magnaflow, but was wondering what other options I have and the price difference between a sportyer exhaust and a stock replacement.

 

Hit up a muffler shop and get some suggestions, I went with a 2.25 piping, with a 22inch res + A Universal Magnaflow muffler with a custom tip and cost me $320 and thats installed, Sounds good too, not high at all, nice deep throttle. Really nice on Idel.

 

Get a 22in resonator. I had 2.5 inch custom piping with a resonator and it made a world of a difference. Nice deep low tone. keep the piping small and get a big resonator if your going for aftermarket.

Stock replacement would be cheap if you can get them at a junk yard. If you want one from the dealer. good luck b/c they're going to be expensive.

 

Just go with a magnaflow muffler and have a muffler shop do some custom piping for a cat back or axle back depending on what u can swing. maybe consider some headers too

 

OH i forgot to add. If your going to a muffler shop. make sure you get MANDREL bent piping not CRUSH. The crush bent is going to make it sound like crap.

 

greddy sp2 and apexi ws2 are quiet exhaust systems.

Do you punch your car often? b/c when I was a noob n got crush bent medi-ocre sized piping on my integra, when I punched it - it seriously sounded like crap. All raspy & back pressured

 

iv punched it a few times, nothing annoynin in my mind. Plus when i punch it the short ram over takes the exhaust so lol.

 

wow your car must be really super quiet. thats pretty awesome. Everyone I knew that got crush bent hated it. lucky ass.

 

exactley how my friends LS sounds. he has crushed bent piping into a stock muffler and it sounds really raspy and rattles.
