I would just like to know if anyone has an exhaust rattle/vibration @ about 1200 rpm's on their stock 99' 2.3 CL??? The easier on the gas, the worse it is. I have taken off all of the heat shields and also had some numb nuts garages look at it with no solutions brought to me. i have the feeling it is somewhere along the CAT but there are so many spring sets on our exhaust system it's hard to tell. I want my car to be quiet but respond like a performance exhaust. Any suggestions???

 

uh, get a quiet muffler, with a big resonator, so its low and not whiny

 

Ive had that happen to my integra, but what they found was a rock in the catback.

 

magnaflow exhaust with 22" resonator. with out resonator itz a beast. good beast

mine sounds better then those sound clips. some of those sound clips sounds ricy for somereason.

can anyone out there with a 2.3 post some sound clips? ive been thinking about an exaust, but i don't want that ricey sound, nor to i want somthing too deep for an import.

 

I just wanted to add that I also have this on my '99 CL 2.3. Its a rumble right around 1200-2000rpm which then smoothes out right away. Its done it since I bought it at 42k miles. I had the dealer look at it before I drove off and they said it was rocks in the manifold, which was a bunch of lies.

 

I have a stock exhaust and I do get some resonation at aroung 1800 rpm. I don't know what it is.

 

i get that sound sometimes at around 2000 rpm's, but usually when i hit 70 km and hold it. goes away if i accelerate through it.

 

Yeah I think a lot of people experience this. I sure do.

 

i get a little noise.. happens when i turn it off too.. but i think thats cuz the exhaust is on rubber mounts and is shaking tho

 

Mine does it at exactly 1900rpms...

its so annoying, ive taken it to 3 muffler shops and they look at me like im crazy!

One shop even told me that it was my motor mounts.
