been lurkin on the board for quite some time now....i have a 99 3.0CL, just hit a 100.xxx. Tint all the way around..and lowered. but now the exhaust is beginning to shear its outer metal casing. I have searched for quite some time now through the threads and the internet, but cant seem to find a solution other than OEM. I have read the exhaust FAQ located on the board, but its very vague and doesnt distinguish between 2.2. and 3.0, so i am wondering what are some of the aftermarket setups you guys are running? How do they sound? Not looking for something ricey, maybe something to compliment the AEM intake i have now (love the sound when vtec hits)? Sorry if this is a redundant post but cant seem to find info? any links or info are welcome!

 

i dont think anyone has an aftermarket cat back for a 3.0. its not a popular performance platform. most people get custom made mandrel piping, 2.5 inch and a muffler of their choice.

 

been thinking that was the best option. know the cl isnt too performance oriented, pure cruiser.

 

3.0's is all custom man, you're on the right track. I just talked to the guy that's doin my exhaust install in person, and he's all good with what I'm doin. I'm using ssautochrome ceramic headers, catco 2.5" highflow cat with custom fit o2 bung, magnaflow 2.5" 22" resonator, all mandrel bent piping and 2.5" dual canister muffler. There are bolt up options but you're better off getting it done custom.
