Excessive Road Noise

Has anyone on here noticed more road noise than you would normally expect to here considering we drive an Acura? I've been in Acuras before where it felt as though you were in a vault. What helps cut down on the road noise in cars? (And don't say turning the radio up) Is there anything you all have that serves as noise cancellation? I searched the forums and came up empty.

I would have to say my rental Hyundia Sonata is way quieter than my 03 CL. Really Sad....

Read up on sound deadening. Something like dynamat, fatmat, secondskin brown bread. All sorts of stuff, some better than others. These will quiet your car the most. Put it on the floor sides and doors, and that will quiet it a lot. There is also firewall kits too. If you do some research on these things and spend about 200-300$ on this stuff you will have a very quiet car (with added weight).

It could be your tires getting old. As your tires wear they'll get louder.

Yeah, I was thinking tires. I noticed after I got my new tires , the quality of my ride is 10x better... But I dont hear too much road noise anyways, mostly rattles.

Yea rattles suck, but the most annoying is the creaking sound from the little arm on the sunroof

You might try a little bit of dry key graphite. It will not add moisture or collect dirt like WD-40 or other lubricants.

aww for Mitch

My car has a squeek from the right rear when it's really cold in the mornings... it's the least of my worries though.
