Everyone who ordered a CF hood... this applies to you so read please

It seems that VIS made the windshield nozzle holes too small and it does NOT fit our windshield nozzles. And since production already started, there's nothing they can do about it now. BUT.. you guys can probably have the shop sand it a little bit bigger when you're getting your hood pins installed, i'm sure they won't mind. As for those who ARENT getting it.. you can always DIY.

Just a heads up

It took you 2-3 weeks to figure out the nozzle holes were too small?

I thought the whole point of the test fit was to find obvious problems like this before production?

Or am I mistaken?

lol no it did not take me 2-3 weeks to figure out the problem. the size of the OEM windshield nozzle holes are the same as the CF ones, but for some reason it didnt work so i went back and double checked. the OEM one i have ALSO has the hole sanded bigger... and since carlo used an OEM hood straight from the factory, then it probably didn thave the bigger hole

are you kidding me? When the hell did you realize this?

ok i just reafd all that and Im still confused. Your nozzle's did not fit on the C/F hood because the holes were too small.

But something got sanded.?

explain.

^ the OEM hood has the same size nozzle openings as the CF hood... but mine wouldn't fit for some reason so i went BACK to my STOCK hood and noticed sand grooves that allowed the nozzle to fit perfectly. HENCE, it COULD be just me that is having this problem, or everyone here will need to sand a very small amount to get their windshield nozzles to fit.

you can always sand the base of the windshield nozzle as well to fit the smaller hole if you guys aren't willing to modify your CF hoods... plastic is easier to sand than the hood anyway
