I've always wondered what everyone here thought of the factory spoiler...

I just got the factory spoiler for xmas and i've wanted it since i first got the car last january.

So whaddya think?

I like it better than a lot of after market spoilers but I think it am missing something. I mean when you look at the rear end of our cars there is a point I think the spoiler should have a similar point. I mean do we really go fast enough for the aerodynamics to figure in on the shape of the spoiler. I think it would look better if it had the same point.

I think it looks good, because IMO our trunks kinda slope down, and the spoiler kinda breaks that up. I dunno, I think our cars look ok without them...if they're lowered that is. The spoiler just makes it look "sportier"

i like the smooth curves of the cl thats why i bought it and also i dont see many suped up at all and thats why also but the supping is coming along piece by piece

I passed up buying 3 CLs (at the dealer) because they didn't have a spoiler.

I don't think I would have bought the CL without one.

I bought mine w/o it and regretted it ever since. I finally got it and am very pleased.

OEM factory spoiler is the only way the rear ends of our cars look nice. Those GT aluminum wings look horrible on our cars, the Type R wing is ugly, and w/o a wing, the car looks funny because of the sloping rear end. In my opinion any car with a sloping rear end (i.e. previous gen Tauras and Altima) looks way better with a rear spoiler. You'll love how sporty your CL will look after you get the wing painted and installed!

Um I guess I am the minority because altought I like the factory spoiler, I have grown accustomed to seeing my smooth ass. ehhhhh on the car that is.

I made sure I found one without it, the 1st time I saw and really noticed the CL was in a Janet Jackson video and it did not have a spoiler, and I remember thinkin how sweet the lines were on the ass of that car, so I saved and went out and got one, I just think it looks alot better without the spoiler,

but u cant go by what everyone else says, its more of what u want

I think the spolier looks cool but at the same time I don't have it and I don't really want one myself, 98% of the black CL's i see out here have the spoiler already.

The GT Aluminum wings ?!?!? Pls tell me no one on here has disgraced their CL with one of those! If you did, Iwould love to see pics...I cant even picture it in my head. Unless you built a drag car or something...WOW

I think it looks alot better without my opinion... Just like sum1 else said i like my smooth SHAVED ass. It just seems like it doesnt belong on there

if i was to get a wing...i think i'd want the WW type R kind....although everyone says they hate them and it makes our car look like shopping carts...ive never seen one in person, i want to be different and i think the pict of the white CL on the WW site looks cool...so if i was to get one, id go with the Type R from WW...i just never liked the OEM kind and the Ricer Universal wings DONT fit our cars at all...id rather not be known as a full blown rice burner.

Some dude had a battle spoiler on the CL. HKS power had an aluminum spoiler on his along with a turbo timer (no turbo). And the dude I saw at nopi used to have one and took it off, so now it has holes there.

So yes...Many CLs have been bastardized.

Thanks for the feedback, i got it painted and installed and i fucking love it!!! It looks so clean, I cant believe i drove around for a year without it on. Next up: drop

i didnt have a spoiler on mine for about a month until i had most of the car repainted after a wreck and while everything was getting painted i got a spoiler and love it both ways...

i think our back is a little weird lookin, like it slopes down, and i think the spoiler helps make it look better

with out the spoiler, the 1st gen CL looks like it has a saggy ass. and i have not found another spoiler that looks good on the CL because of the slant and profile of the trunk.

I have the OEM spoiler but if I would have bought the car new, it wouldn't be there. I think the rear end with the "ski jump" trunk and triangle taillights is the one the coolest things about our cars, it totally separtates the CL from the Accord. When the CL came out, that rear end was ahead of it's time and cutting edge, no company dared to try to make a rear look like that until the CL. IMHO, to put on a spoiler interfers with that. But it's not the worst thing a dude could do to his CL, the worst is one of those F&F alum wings.

imm happy with mine but i need to get a new one . becareful when you put it in and make sure all the screws are tight . the subs in my trunk split my spolier right where it mounts to the center..... just watch out
