engine valve adjustment

I have a 97 CL 3.0 and reached to its 100K mileage on it. Had a late change on the timing belt and water pump a couple of weeks ago. The car feels great and runs well still. My question is, is there a need for my car to have a engine valve adjustment on it? I never had it done before. Is it necessary? If not, how do I know when to have one done? Thanks.

If it idles rough and/or if your hear a ticking sound coming from the top of the engine, then a valve adjustment is something to look into.

Our first tune up (and timing belt/water pump change) is due at 105K.

Like joeshmoe said, if you're experiencing what he wrote, 105K is a good time to have it done. Otherwise, only have it done when you experience what he wrote.
