Engine Tech questions

OK I have been doing some reading. Pistons where can I find some good ones. I really don't even know what kind to look for, for the 3.0. Also I was wondering about anything else I would need to run N20. Holla at me

You don't need to swap pistons to run nitrous.

If you want aftermarket pistons (forged), you'll need to get them custom made.

I made no modifications to my engine in order to run nitrous, except to put in different plugs. Some say you need "cooler" plugs, but the truth is that you need plugs with a shorter strap (which cooler plugs have). This keeps the strap from acting like a "glo-plug" and detonating as soon as the nitrous enters the combustion chamber. I've personally seen what running hotter plugs can do. It burned a hole in a piston in my Uncle's Jetta VR6.

So dust, what about a fuel pump? Alot of guys around here, which they drive teggys and civs, but they say I need a new fuel pump. N2O just scares me cause I don't want to blow my engine

I would be more scared to blow up garage up. LOL but I heard if you do it right these days it a whole lot safer.
