regardless of what any automotive store tries to sell you (they are all BS products) the best way to flush your engine is to drain all the oil, fill the engine to the top with kerosine, and let it sit for a day. then flush it out. do not start your car. this is the safest and probably the most effective way to do it. also, i heard after you go to synthetic you want to change the first oil after about 500 miles, oh, and never go back to regular oil. let me know how it works out.

Thanks.

here is what I did over the weekend.

Sat. I drained my old oil (Valvoline) and put kerosin (around 9 liters) and it still was not topped off. But thats all I had.

Sun. Drained kerosin. Put Synth. Mobil1 with PureOne filter.

Did not notice any diference.

yeah, synthetic will keep your engine running better, but you really wont notice much of a difference. i didnt either, but it is proven better for your engine.
