engine eating oil?

ok, i bought the car back in december with 110,000 miles on it.....drove for a while then changed the oil out to synthetic w/k&n oil filter.....i noticed a couple weeks later...my motor was really low on oil......so i put 2 quarts in......i never saw any leaks or anything.....then...just a couple days ago i was doing some maintenance(wipers, wiper fluid, brake fluid, etc....) and noticed it was low again..not as bad but i added some more in...is this normal for switching to synthetic? or should i be worried....the motor runs fine...i check for any oil on the motor..none at all..no burning smells...no sign of anything....ive been checking everyday for the past couple of days and its been fine......

the only thing i can think of is bad piston rings..but i have no smoke coming out of my exhaust....so maybe i should try one of the oil treatments with the sealers in them? or is it bad to mix those w/ synthetic?

dont wanna take it to a shop before i gets yalls opinions...thanks

not that it's bad to mix the engine additives, but it takes away from the benefit of using synthetic in the first place. Adding those things change the viscosity levels and boiling temperatures for liquids, thus preventing the synthetic oil to fully do its job.

i think the mistake was made when you just completely swapped over to synthetic oil with a car with suc hhigh mileage. I bought mine with 67K miles last year and I've gradually mixed synthetic oil in with the regular oil until im left with full synthetic.
