Engine blow by

I'm new to Honda/Acura engines. Can anyone tell me if it is normal to have blow by on a 120,000 mile 2.2L that supposedly has been maintained? If so how much.

I know on my Nissan with 100K it does have a fair amount as felt at the oil service cap on the valve cover., and it is normal I am looking at a used car- fisrt one I have looked at.

Have you checked your engine by removing the cap with engine warmed up and running?

My friend with at 97 CL 2.2 tells me his almost blows the cap off at idle- puffs pretty good, and he has kept that engine well cared for. It is his wifes car. He is a trucker.

the only way to determine the condition of the pistons is to do a compression check. if its low then theres more than blow by as a problem. valves could come in to play. if the pcv valve is clogged then it will seem to be more blow by.
