i like your set up chris! i saw the cf shift knob as well as the cf e-brake but was wondering the same thing as emran..so i guess i gotta rip off that damn boot huh? we'll see, i've been looking to upgrade the interior a lil bit..i just wish that the shift knob didn't sit so high..i would love to do the DIY fit a boot in the gear box and make it totally look like a 5-speed! haha

honestly that would be real easy. just tuck the boot between the center console and shifter assembly. It would look cool. You might get negative feedback though :cough: :cough: :poser:

I've pulled two of those things off and neither ripped. It is glued underneath, so what I did for one of them (the other came of with brute strength ) was pull the sides off the little holders, pull them up to sort of invert the cover, and then slide a flathead up in there like a chisel. With just a little bit of work it came off fine.

yea i would probably be thought of as a "poser" but everyone has their own taste, and as much as i would love to tackle a project like that, i can definitely take things apart, but suck at putting things back together so i guess it won't happen but knowing that this will always be here, it could happen in the future but thanks for your

taking apart the center console takes all of 5 minutes with a drill and a phillips bit lol, pop up the cd holder, two screws, pop out the cup holder, two screws, voila!

thanks shadowbar, but seriously i know i'm capable of taking things apart, that's not a problem, its when i need to put things back together, that process doesn't go so well..wish i had chris (aka blackack) around my area! man he would be making some serious money! haha i'd have him do some retrofits, clean up my interior with something like he did with the shift knob and e-brake..believe me i would love to try i just know myself and projects in the past, i've just FAILED, so i'm not even going to try.. but thanks for the encouragement!

Would be very easy, and a few auto owners on here have done it, not something I myself would do, but I've seen some very clean jobs
