My MIL just came on and i checked the code and it came back 80. Insufficient exhaust gas recirculation flow. EGR valve is under recall. The only thing that i have done to my motor is the aem CAI will they deny me coverage because of this??? I sure hope not!!! Please let me know as im going in tomorrow at 8:30am and i need to know if i should put my stock air box back on tonight. Thank you all for your help

 

i have a short ram and i remember getting something changed due to recall and they didn’t say anything about it

 

A recall is a recall - they would have replaced it for free even if nothing went wrong so you should definitely be OK leaving the CAI on.

 

is the recall just for the 98?

 

Thanks, im just going to leave it on. The gas goes FROM the valve TO the intake correct, so the valve is in no way affected from the intake. O well, anyone know how long the work takes?? I heard the valves are on massive backorder. I need to know how long it will or should take them to do. Thanks
