Check engine light shows EGR valve is bad. 97 3.0 has 115k-----No warranty left on this-right? How do you replace? Can you clean it? thanx

 

i have 191,xxx miles and mine is done . . . 97 3.0 . . . my dad is a mechanic and he took it off about twice or more time already . .he says my intake side is clogged with carbon deposits . . .so maybe this weekend well clean that out . . .but he says tthats why my take off and gas mileage is so bad . . .cant wait to see the differnece.
