EGR valve..??
What is this valve and how much for a new one??
My Check engine light came on i took it to Autozone and they checked it for free, and came up saying that the EGR Valve was clogged and needs to be cleaned out.. where on the exhaust manifold is this valve located and if under the car, should i just replace the pipes instead of getting the valve cleaned?? the dealer is charging $225..thanx for the help..

Same thing happened to me on my 98 3.0. I believe it was b/c I filled up the tank too much, b/c I had just gotten gas that day and I got more than I usually did in it. Took it to autozone, same code. Few days later, it went out. I'm still going to take it to the dealer and try to get them to give me a new one. I've got almost 79K on my car, and the EGR valve warranty runs out at 80K. Hopefully they won't give me any problems.

oh man....151k miles...u JUST missed it lol
only the 97's have the warranty
I dunno anything about it....all I know is that mine happened 3 times between 68000 and 76000 miles....quite often. Dealer fixed it for free (Warranty) and gave me a loaner
RSX...RSX...TSX
Nice loaners lol....03 RSX's and 04 TSX.
Only if you still had the warranty...

yeah i had the 04 TSX a couple times.. i just wanted to keep it compared to how my car was running.. I was hoping it was the O2 sensor instead of the EGR valve so i could bitch out the dealer for changing it once and then again in less than 1000 miles.. but we'll see..fix this then maybe sell it.. find one more job, work my butt off and get my G35 Coupe..
