You dont have to do steps 11 and 15 in that diy. It was a direct fit you just need to buy the sleeve from honda and a bolt nut and two washers at home depot. For the bolt at Home depot I found that a 6mmx30mm worked perfect. also use a lock nut. I currently have it set at the highest shift point and it works great. I just think I overtightened the nut so I have to loosen it some.

If it's the same as the 97 2.2 then the install is straight forward. That DIY shows exactly what to do (with steps 11 and 15 not needed).

man how do you do it, having a part for 3 months and not installing it? My parts go on right away, or else I would go insane.

I'm that way with my 4runner, the parts go on the day I get them in my hand, my CL i've been accumulating parts for 3-4 years now, and have just gotten used to going at my own pace, but as most people know I do my mods in groups and everything is waiting for something else, so I just keep moving along. It does suck looking at all that time and money spent on parts, sitting on a shelf. Especially when you basement keeps flooding!

Meh, that's all easy install stuff, most of mine involves lots of labor, those shouldn't be bad installs, most of my parts are waiting on another part or install, cuz they're going on in an order, but you can't see the list, it's classified

There's plenty of hints around the 1G CL forum, just generally a complete rebuild of the car, bit by bit. No swaps or turbos in the near future
