Dynamat alternatives & trunk size

Dynamat alternatives & trunk size
Well I have a few questions..
I'm adding a JL 10w3 sub in the trunk. With a 1st gen CL, do you think I'll need some type of damping equipment to line the trunk?
If I do - what size will i need (sq. feet)?
Any good alternatives to the expensive standard Dynamat?
thanks...

I have 2 JL 12W3's in my car and it rattles the whole trunk and back glass. So I need to cut down the vibration in my trunk also. Brown Bread is a little cheaper than Dynamat. Here is a site about it. http://www.b-quiet.com/brownbread.html I think Dynamat Extreme is a little bit better of a product from what I have seen in the stereo world. I think 30 feet is a whole complete trunk, not sure though.

i did my car over 2 years ago so i dont remember exact details
but i think i used 3 BIG boxes of dynamat on the trunk alone
i used about 11 boxes of dynamat total and it made a huge difference in db's. check my sig. it's all coming out and going in the trash because the weight is ridiculous. i get passed by 3 cylinder geo metros.
dynamat blows b-quiet away
that shit doesn't stick the way dynamat does, kept falling off
yes, i used to use it but will never again
spend the $ and get the real stuff
