hey kits, explain this why in the heck would you need a rpm guage with shift light when you are a AUTOMATIC.

im not dissing cause i think your car is cool but however the rom guage is useless with a auto.

also if you can post how you did your cf vinyle install? i posted above how it withstands in the hot summers, but how is it overall? i have a 3+ foot roll of it and i dont know if i want to do it or not. how lok did it take and how long has it been on?

and those other guages, they are the volt meter and whats the lower one?

WTG on the in dash and dvd player, how much did the setup run you and what brands did you go with? where did you buy it from and, did you do it yourself? look clean i like you even did the radio trim for the players with the cf vinyl. let me know i seriously want to do mine since no one will buy my cf vinyl so pm me and let me know how i go along doing this massive project

thanks thanks..

sup guys..

97Acura3.0CL... I've had the CF vinyl for almost 2 years now and and it still looks like new... i understand what you're saying man about the tach.. others criticize it too but that's ok.. happy with it.. well even though I have an auto transmission.. you can still shift it from 1 to 2 to D3 to D4.. i've taken it to a drag strip and was practicing a little bit since I have no experience in racing.. the drag strip here only have a 1/8 mile.. don't have a quarter mile... so i'll do a run when I get my headers and catback system installed with a VAFC.. hopefully I'll get them all installed before I go back to school this August..

The CF vinyl install was a DIY.. and it really depends on you on how you wanna do it and what will make it easier for you to do. It took me about 1 hour or so to do the whole thing.. what I did is I took sheets of paper and used those as templates and then cut the vinyl.. then I used a haird dryer for the vinyl.. makes it easier to stick and won't make bubbles a lot... must be very careful and patient when sticking the vinly over the wood.. just to avoid bubbles and creases.. it's a good project to do when you have the time to do it.. it gets pretty hot here too in TN and so far.. i'm happy with it..

about the video setup.. whole setup with installation cost me $440 dollars.. got both systems from Ebay... love it.. I took the stock radio/CD and cassette player myself but the installation was done by NOISE POLLUTION here in my area... but before they installed it I put the CF vinyl on the trims around the unit.. it looks good too.. the brain of the motorized screen system is underneath the passenger seat..

sup limmerz.. well when I got these things I don't have springs yet.. now I do and getting my ride dropped first thing when I get my tax return.. still have to get shocks too.. so many things to buy.. so little cash.. hehehehe.. it takes time for me to mod my car.. other peeps are so rich they can pretty get anything they need.. me.. have to work hard... heheheh.. thanks man..

ok...stupid question time

does that screen pop out of somewhere...or does it stay there all the time??

i was thinking it came out of the silver-faced thingy...but it looks a little thick to fit in that opening...

thanks...just curious

motorized..

sup Katies99CL.. the screen is a motorized screen (in dash) so whenever I press a certain button it will pop out or pop inside.. look at the first picture. SO it doesn't stay like that. It's two different units. (DOUBLE DIN)... the top is the motorized LCD screen with AM/FM and TV tuner and the bottom is the DVD player itself..

sup acurastatus.. something wrong with your cardomain page man.. can't see anything.. i think it's not there anymore.. by the way, what do you mean I don't have pics.. you mean the DVD player.. ? I posted two pics from the beginning of the thread... thanks again man..

lcd..

sup laslo.. thanks for the comments man.. the LCD is made by Qwestar, which is founded by KOSS. I like it a lot man. It is a 6.4" lcd motorized screen with an AM/FM/TV tuner. The install took about 2 hours because we have to custom made a trim for both the screen and the dvd unit.. because our rides are actually not a double din.. they just make it look like it is but it isn't. And we have to take out the passenger seat to put the brain of the motorized screen... thanks..
