Dust Boots

When you guys got your spring/struts installed did the installer put back on the OEM dust boot? The guy that installed mine did not put on any dust boot coz he said that it wouldn't matter. Is this true?

It won't affect the functioning of the shock, but with time, all the dirt, etc. will scratch the piston rod, severely degrading the quality of the shocks.

He should have put them back on! :thumbsdn:

That reminds me whenever I go to the mall there is always this shoe-shiner near the atrium. He repeatedly asks Dust Boots, 5 dollars, I just thought I would bring that up. Oh yea get your boots put back on!!!
