A dumb question
A dumb question
I know, I know, SERCH!! but I have and need help.
what is the difference between a base CL and a CL-S, I see spoilers on every type-S but I have read they are all dealer inltalled, sun-roofs on 4cyl cars but it might have been a option, but other than that I don't know what the diffrence is. Can I upgraid my 98 3.0 to type-S parts. Is it a larger wheel/tire, firmer suspension package, I know the gen2 v6 CL-S get a 6spd. but is that standard for the type-S or a option for base 3.2?
any help or links w/ info on this would be appreceated. Thanks.

about all I can offer as I don't know much about the first Gen. but I do know that they are very different set ups.
EDIT: Link shows differences between the 2nd Gen. CL-P (Premium), and CL Type-S

first off, its an entirely different generation of vehicle.
97-99= 1st gen
01-03= 2nd gen
I think you'd get more answers in the 2nd gen forum, but Im pretty sure that apart from slapping a "Type-S" decal on the back of your car, there's not too much you can do to "Type-S" a 98 3.0.
Good luck modding it though.

I know the 3.2s are totaly different, and don't expect any swaping between the 1st and 2nd gen. just loking for info. was the type-S only for 4cyl 1st gen CL cars? (because they could get a 5spd) I'm really more looking for 1st gen info. btw no badges for me
lol. thanks.

There are some distinct Type S and non-type S colors:

Dont try'n be something you're not; stay true to your school, just like you would to your girl or guy.
That, and drop an h22/turbo kit and blow the shit out of those fake S's.
