dual exhausts

dual exhausts

hey...i was wondering if it is worth it to get dual exhausts put on...they are like the ac revolution exhausts...the evo...series or soemthing like that...well...i dont know if it will look nice but the sound of it sounds crazy...lemme know what you guys think

You're talking about dual mufflers, not dual exhausts. They may look cool, but they'll just add backpressure and weight. Some cars, like V8 powered ones, have dual exhausts with two separate systems, one on each side of the engine. Other cars, like the TL/Accord V6 have a single exhaust system that branches out to two mufflers, pretty much all for looks.

What would you do about the bumper, would you just have another notch cut in it for the 2nd pipe? Can you do that?

I have only seen one CL that has done that and it did it look that good because the drive side exhaust was off center. Besides it would just be added weight without any real extra gain.

I asked someone about that the other day, because I think it would look really good, but the bumper problem is kinda a big one, and like kikaz said, the driver's side exhaust would have to be kinda off center because of the underneath of the car...

Oh well. Worth asking, right?

I believe that fastvteCL has duals on his 3.0. I don't think there is an advatage of having this. I you are interested in looks, it will definately make you CL different.

he has a V6 3.0 not a I4 and last i know of he has one greddy exhaust.
