My drunk roommate was messing around in my car and she pulled on the door handle, it seemed like a normal pull but it popped. Now the door handle works fine but the silver thing you pull on just wont stay flush with the door. Is the spring gone? where can i get one and can i fix it? thanks Oh this is an interior handle on the passenger side

did the plastic piece pop through the screw? look behind the chrome handle.

Nah, but for real. Start by taking the black trim off from around the door handle and make sure the little plastic clip holding it on is still there, if it is take off your door panel and inspect the rods and see where your loosness is.

 

Haha you guys are funny i did in fact have two female roommates until i graduated in dec and they were a lot of fun but i dont think my gf would appreciate her paying me back in that way haha

The whole door handle assembly looks completely normal, the stupid handle just wont stay flush for some reason. You know how you can pull the handle about half way before the door will actually open, the first part of the half way is gone if that makes sense. I will have to attempt to take the door apart Thanks
