Do you have the system set on recirculate? or is there fresh air coming in? I've notice that no matter what setting I use, the side vents (by the doors) always blow some air......

I have the same problem also, what I do is when the cold air starts blowing from the vents I turn on only the lower vents and heat comes through those.

yah, i close the vents, or set the air at warm before turning it off. It blows warmer air on my feet

i think their might of been a recall for this, but i'm not sure

There's only been one recall on my car and my dealer emailed me when it was issued. They email me when all of my services are due as well. If my dealer has this, the rest should too. Check with your service dept.....

Im assuming you mean that you have the entire climate control system "off" (and not just "A/C off")

I don't think its a "problem", as other cars i've driven still allow fresh air to come in the floor vents while you moving. Does the air stop when you're at a redlight?
On cars without this electronic-climate system, with the fan turned off, turning the temp knob warmer did make this air warmer, and vice versa.
I believe they do this so there's always fresh air coming in. I think the owners manual even says something about not driving extended periods on the "recirc" mode or with the system completely off.
