Does anyone know what size?

I recently bought some 17" konig tuners. I am planning on buying new tires to put on them, but I am not sure what size will be ok. The tires on them now are 205/40/17 and some other info. I was wondering if I could get 215 or would i have to get 205? And i checked out discounttire.com and their tire fitment guide told me to go with 45's.
If i went with 40's, would that affect anything?
In all of your opinions, would 17's look weird on our cl without lowering or would it look ok?

Thanks

The 45 sidewall is just a little bit wider and may give a little better ride ( not as rough)

I've got 215/45's with no problem. The wheel's a 17X7.

so even if there are 205's on the rims right now, it won't matter if i get tires that are 215?
And getting the 40's rather than 45's are ok?
Sorry, I'm just making sure cause i gotta buy tires soon.

215 will easily fit on a 7 inch rim. and if you go with the 215 you will need 45 series to keep the correct overall height.

yeah, go with 45's....folks tend to want to go as low profile as possible, but if you undersize your stock wheel diameter, you lose gas mileage and your fender well looks bigger
