does anyone know the code for the radio
does anyone know the code for the radio
hey i just got my egr valve fixed and the guy told me he had to unhook the battery so the engine light would go off but in doing that he resest the radio and now i have no music
Go to the dealership, they'll take your VIN number and let you know what the code is. As far as it costing money..it might, but it didnt cost me anything, prolly because i had just bought the car.
hunterbe,
if you know where the car was purchased new, ie the original dealership, they will have the radio code on file. If you call this place and give them the last few digits of the VIN, they will give you the code. It should not cost you anything. Protest if they try to charge you.
If you don't know the original dealership, you may need to obtain the radio serial number which is under the radio. then any dealership can look up the code by the serial number. BUT before you rip apart your dash, look everywhere (manual, business cards, under the hood, under the fuse box, under the glove box, etc. ) for the radio code, it can be hidden in these places. Hope this helps.
