i was wondering about www.superchips.com how does that work, also how does dyno chipping your car do and how much hp gain do you get from that? what does reseting your ecu really do? what does changing your ecu do? and where do i buy one for a 98 acura cl 2.3? and how much does it cost? has anyone just reset there ecu?

for example if i put a intake, exhaust, or headers on my car will it not add hp if i dont reset my ecu?

try getting a Venom 400........I here the work well and you can turn them on and off.

About the resetting your ecu, basically your car's computer has certain numbers for your car....like how much air is getting into your car etc.

So when you change something, such as adding an intake, you change the amount of air going into your car, therefore your car needs to relearn the information to take full advantage of the upgrade. You do this by disconnecting your neg. battery connector for about 15 mins. then reconnecting. Let your car idle for a while and then drive it.

this is equivalent to the venom, except that you can control things more and view what is going on. Such as changing when vtec kicks in..

When you drastically change the settings for your car ie: Venom to control VTEC etc. how does that effect the life and reliability of your ride?

tw1112... Why are you selling this?? I have been contemplating buying the controller but I wasn't sure if performance vs. cost would actually be worth it. Does anyone have spec's on this controller??

not to blow up someones spot.. but a vtec controller is near worthless on a cl2.2 without any mods... if your turbo or spraying.. or heavily modded/swapped engine, its time get an vafc.. otherwise it makes a nice dash ordament

Like I said in the f/s post, just need the money. The reason why I haven't installed the vafc is because of what f0de said...right now I don't have that many mods....actually I have an intake and that it is. I was planning on getting headers, exhaust, pulleys, etc, but money is tight right now.

It is still for sale though.. I will snap some pics of the outside of the box so that people can be assured that I do in fact have the item. I don't want to open it until a buyer asks because I am sure there are people that would rather me not open the item first..
