does anyone have info on a turbo 3.0 (accord or CL). i am going to put a turbo on my 97 3.0CL and need some help with the piping. anyone know where to get info? i can't find anythin g on the HKS turbo accord. anyone?

well first how much do you have saved.... you're probably lookin at 5grand. you have two banks for the engine since it is a V-6, so you need two turbo's. you need two custom exhaust manifolds, and one big intercooler, and a whole bunch of piping.

there was a custom kit on ebay a while back and that was going for 5grand. anyone remember what im talking about.

basically what he is saying is they dont make anything. the closest thing is the comptech prototype super charger for the 3.0 accords. will it fit in the cl? we dont know for sure yet, but i think it will. and we dont even know if they are producing it yet either.

i know no one makes a kit thats why i'm asking for info. i know i can place the turbo where the area is by the battery box and intake piping and run a fender well intercooler (300zx) or FMIC, I'd probably just do the fender well because i'd only run about 6psi which would be too small of a boost to run an intercooler. really what i should have asked is doesn anybody know if it would be possible to mount the turbo flange right whre the 6 pipes come togetheron my headers. i'm trying, but don't see a way to make it work. i'm thinking that to make it work i'll have to run the turbo up and have it mounted about 3 feet away from the headers. i'll make it work somehow, just might need some help. PS. i have a t3 turbo, blitz blowoff valve, oil return lines, fender well intercooler, all i need is piping and flanges.

i dont know about how low your turbo would hang below the car. besdes you have to take into accout the turbo lag that you would get from having the turbo mounted that far away. i thin it would be better to just get another T3 and get two custom exhaust manifolds done.

p.s. i dont think you need the blowoff valve because you have an auto so there is no sudden drop in boost inbetween the shifts like there is on a manual.

hey 1genCL... what twin turbo car is set up like that? the 300zx is right? cause i know most twin turbo cars are sequential, but i think the Z is not. let me know if you know, should have it done by the end of the year maybe january sometime. how does the piping work?

sorry to reply so late.

i dunno if you could mount the turbo uptop....??? that begs the question of where you would route the exhaust through.

a T3 is not a big turbo so i dont think that you would have problems with it spooling up. but if you wanna slap a 50 shot on there that's good too. just make sure you dont decide to go and bounce off the rev limiter anythime soon.

i dont knbow about all that sequential turbo jazz... i know that they are sequential on the supra.

OH... and hey......... i saw that white "1st gen Type-S" down in PG county a while back. it had the stock 2.2/2.3 exhaust.

i got them threw the shop i go to DMK. i got the for about 325 dollars. i have them on but still have not got them tuned yet haven't had time to go to the dyno. you know the old school and work BS.

spoke with Comptech today... testing a Super charger in an accord (3.0) now and next into a 3.0 Cl.... if and when its ready... its said to only be about 50hp, for low automatic tranny strain, and $5000.00... Worth it to me... hope shes out soon....

yea its definitely a good chunk of $$$ for a few hp.. but even the slightest hp increase in our car makes a difference.. what you really pay for is being the Sleeper CL.... only CL with it!!!

well... comptech reps say that the intake and headers produce 20-25 and SC produce 50hp +/- some.. so you are looking at 75 total hp... thats about it!

50hp is lame. build a twin turbo and get lower compression pistons and stronger rods and boost about 30 psi. thats what im thinking of doing.
