Does everyone have a huge shifter, come on guys I know someone out there hasw to have a short shifter. I cant believe that everyone with a 94-97 accord has a big shifter, someone has to make a true short shifter for our car.

jchavez, the thing about our shifter is it's a different kind of shifter than most, therefore, the adapter is the most cost-effective mass-producable unit.

To clear this up...

I have a short shifter installed...The adapter is all they make for the accord/CL models...Other cars such as the Protege and Civic's have the full short shifters with a shorter rod and all but I'm sorry man...They just don't make it, even for the accord models...All that they make is the adapter...

if you get the screw-in type of shift nob and screw in the nob all the way, it kinda takes care of another .25" or so....i was amazed at how much shorter it was

any suggestions on which kind/types/brands of shift knobs screw all the way up? i have a cosmo shortshift adapter, and it shortens the throw considerably. however, i also want a shorter stick. i was thinking of cutting it, but that might cause more complications... our stick is pretty curved. i want to the the shift knob thing first... the only thing is that i like the stock look of our shifter.
