Do i need an antenna adapter for a new head unit?

I installed a new head unit today. I am pretty sure i wired everything correctly. The power works, however there is no sound from the radio. Do 97 Cls require antenna adapters? When i plugged the black antenna plug into the back of the new head unit (Pioneer DEH-2700), it seemed kind of loose, and it wasnt a snug fit. Anyone have any suggestions?

The only wires from the pionee unit wire harness i didnt use were the system remote (blue/white i believe) and dimmer (orange i believe) Was i supposed to use these?

Thanks

you have to hook the blue remote wire up from your headunit to the blue one comming from your adapter harness.. that turnes on your bose amp.
