Do I need an alignment after having my tires rotated & balanced?

Just had the 75,000 mile service done on my car (a little early- only have 73k right now, but wanted to have everything checked before winter), which included the first tire rotation since I bought it in sppring. New tires were put on by the dealer when I took delivery and I noticed a little vibration in the wheel above 65mph and the steering wheel wasn't completely centered, etc. when driving on a straight highway. I had an alignment and all was perfect. Now I notice the same thing- an ever so slight shaking on the wheel above 65, and alignment doesn't seem perfect.

Granted, I probably notice a lot more flaws than most people, but there is a little shaking that wasn't there before. How often do you guys get alignments? Think I need one now?

Thanks!

Yeah i would do one.

Anytime you mess with the tires and or suspension it is a good idea to get one.

OR anytime you hit a huge bump you may need one. Hitting a huge bump may cause your alignment to be off.

^^ i agree to an extent. I installed my springs and never got an alignment and my tires are decent.

My car does not pull from side to side at all, but my steering wheel is a little off center. You dont need to get an alignment. but if you are anal about your car, whats 50-60 bucks.

I know if you do hit a bump or pothole hard enough it will screw up your alignment, but you have to hit it pretty hard to do that.

I said yes cause I have a lifetime alignment, but if you don't have money to throw around, then it's not that important.

Its not so much that the car pulls but the wheel is a tad off-center and a slight vibration over 60. But yeah, I'm anal about the car...

well, ive installed new suspension, tires and toiled with the heights and my steering wheel is dead center, doesnt vibrate and my suspension bias is perfectly balanced with my weight in the car. As long as that wheel is kept dead center on the yoke, no need to alighn the bitch. I havent had an anlighnment in 50 thousand and my steering is DEAD on

Im just tired of hearing people saying there getting an alighnment for running over an ant. Why spend 60 bucks on nothing ? Cant people tell if there tires are balding and wearing ? If there not doing anything leave the dam car alone !!! Its like trying to make an erection subside by always playing with it. Just LET IT GO !!

rims and tires don't affect your allignment

check for other problems from wear and tear: ball joints, worn bushings, worn mounts
