Do 1998s have transponder keys?

Do 1998s have transponder keys?
I know that the 1997s do not have the chipped keys and the 1999s do, but what about the 1998s?

i have a 98 and if i am thinking what ur thinking is ur talking about on the key were it goes into the steering column there is a little chip on the key and if that is what ur taliking about the answer is NO

yes, when you put the key in and start the car dont you notice the key light flash on the gauge cluster?

yes the 98s have chipped keys-i know because our 01 and 02 accords are chipped and have pretty much the same key (black H vs. red A)
