because i did not..

If your'e in Park or Neutral, at least in the 2.3, you cant rev past 5k?? i was messing around listening to something, and it stopped going at 5k, like the rev limiter, but if im driving in gear it will go all the way to the stopping point a little before redline..

yeah, my 3.0 did the same thing... just forgot at exactly what RPM it was... its really not good for the engine to rev like that under no load.

i have a 2.3 and it will go to 6500....

I have been doing it for the pst 4 days while fuckin with my h22 and yes i still have my cl ecu hooked up.

maybe its an automatic thing?? because mine is.. hmmm oh well, i just was testing something anyways, i dont do that on a regular basis..

mines an auto 3.0 and it wont let me go past 5k in park or N...humm..wierd..but ive redlined at 6.5K before in d3

that is probably a fuel shut off so you wont damage your engine, since it revs quicker while out of gear.
