Decision made: INSTALLING NITROUS KIT!
Decision made: INSTALLING NITROUS KIT!
Hey all!
I'm almost sure about what I will do:
I just went to a great shop around here in Detroit (Street Legal Customs), I got what I think is a good deal on a Nitrous system.
It's a NOS 50-75 shot, installed for $950 (the kit itself for my engine, 2.3 VTEC, is $690)
First off:
-is it a good price?
-will a 50 or 75 shot ruin my engine?
Please, if there is anything else I should know of, let me know and all your comments are more than appreciated.
Peace out dudes!

But $950 installed isn't horrible if they're doing everything, salem are you running a dry shot or wet injection?

Do you guys think a 75 shot would screw up the engine? Would an Nitrous system in general fuck up my 2.3CL?
Any precautions?
thnx dudes.

it all depending on how much you use it. it you abuse your prevlidges with spary, your gonna have to deal with teh consequences.
but make sure you buy other key components before you install the nitrous.

nitrous actually isnt out of the question for me either. im too lazy to do a motor swap with my friends so nitrous could definitly be in my future as well, that is if i decide keep this car longer.

Traitors, theres no way im getting rid of Claudia. I know that for a fact! If i buy another car, she'll still be sitting in the driveway or the garage, she'll just be my gorgeous project car
And maybe you want to upgrade your fuelpump also when you get your nitrous kit, my boy failed to do so (upgrade his fuel system) and his engine went ka-boom.

Dry shot is in the intake tubing.
Wet shot is in the intake tubing.
Direct port is in the intake manifold. (i'm assuming that's what you meant)
The only difference between wet and dry shot, is that with the wet shot you "T" off the fuel line and have a seperate jet for the fuel line which is delivered at the same time as the nitrous into the intake tubing.

dry is just nitrous through the intake, wet is nitrous/fuel through the intake, and direct port is through the injectors.
