Dealer Maintenance check???
I just noticed that my maitanance check light has been on for awhile now. my car is a few thousand shy of 50K... do i need to go to the dealer to get it checked up? is it worth it? how much? what do they do anyway? or can i just go to like walmart, and get my maintanance there? i've changed my oil every 3K, so what else do i need to change? also, what are the increments to do maintenance? thanks.

It's not a light, but rather an indicator. It rotates from green to yellow to red, every 7,500 miles.
Just stick your key into the slot that's right next to the indicator, and it will reset back to green.
Follow the suggested maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, and try doing most things yourself. It will save you $$$!
Good luck!

Yeah, that indicator is more of a reminder than anything else.
The dealer will probably rape you if you go there not knowing what needs to be done, so check the manual and do as much of it yourself as possible.
