DD Dash Kit

hey guys, long time no post. just picked up a pioneer avic d3 and am in need of a dash kit. saw the thread in the BM for customs and am considering it but was wondering if anybody knows where to pick a good one up elsewhere. thanks

I have the double din kit that came with my d2..but, What's the main reason for a custom kit? to avoid theft?

i remember ghetto mounting my first custom deck in the CL. if u looked under we had a flattened pack of gum and some duct tape holding it to the pocket insert. my prelude install isnt that much better, i need to redo it

found a scosche one for like 15 on the bay. i'd really like to find one with the piano black finish but i doubt thats going to happen...

My buddy who has his own car audio company swears by Scosche. I've got a Scosche mounting kit with my Pioneer HU and it fits perfectly. It'd look stock if my HU wasn't so damn gaudy.

That will look way better.. I think I might pick one up.. I'm just going to check out my friend that works at this car audio place first.. Thanks klepto.. I didn't even know I had my double din "ghetto mounted"

Yah that's the only thing about the kit is that the upper portion has a small 1/8" Gap. It's the angle that I took the pic to makes it look bigger. But other then that it still looks good. I can always fill it in later wit some ABS plastic.
