Anyone know if the console's in the center are the same bolt-up wise for a 97 and 98-99?

Been thinking about chaning to the 98 style..

i've looked into it becuase i want to do the same. seems like you'll need

-the center console
-the wood trim
-the chrome ring around the shifter
-new clock
-new hazard button
-new ashtray

and i think thats it

new parts ur lookin at a couple hundred dollars. i've been waiting for 2 yrs for some1 to total their car and swap their 98+ parts for my 97 b4 the insurance comp takes the car

 

ill be doing the conversion soon, so ill let you know if i run into any problems or not, i got a 98 5 spd center console imma put on to my 97 5 spd, looks like everything matches up the same though, but if you want to buy everything individually its not gonna be cheap

All I need is the console piece that surrounds the stereo woodgrain piece and I can do my swap. Oh, I'm also waiting on the Quelude shifter too. One thing I noticed is the fog light plug on 98-99 CL's is a six wire and 97's are a five wire plug. Go figure. I also have the 3.0 center piece with the chrome ring. It should look sweet.
