I been having problems with my e-brake light staying on. Its not getting hung up or anything, but the light just comes on whenever it wants. Any idea what could be going on???

check your brake fluid, there are sensors on most honda/acura's on the bottom of the master cylinder when there is little or no brake fluid in there. or there might be the wire that is grounding out in someplace.

Its not just an e-brake light. Its also used as a warning when theres a potential problem with the brakes such as fluid level as bigpimpin18 said.

just top off your brake fluid, maybe a tad past the max mark if needed and you'll be fine

but if the fluid is just below the max, top it off, if its lower than say 3/4 full than its prolly time for new pads.

p.s. clean your room chica

Definately check the fluid first, it means there is something wrong with your brake system.

No offense, but I love how when a chick asks a question, she gets 20 good answers, if a dude asked that question, everyone would flame him, tell him to search, and call him a

I forget what I put in when I did the clutch...

I'm not complaining, I offer help and answers, hardly ever ask questions of my own, so I don't usually worry if people answer them or not. But if it was a guy, there wouldn't be 10 helpful answers in a row w/o someone screaming search and calling them a noob. That's all, just pointing it out.

when was the last time you got your brakes changed? That is most likely what it is. There is a sensor on the brake system, when the pads wear below a certain point the sensor comes on.

At least a year ago. I had some crap shop do the front. Im sure they used shit pads. I did the back myself & used Bendix pads.

I could always take it to the hobby shop here & do the brakes myself instead of getting raped in town.

doesnt bendix have a lifetime warranty??

anyways, check the brake fluid as mentioned before. Im not sure whats on my car right now. I got it with the pads that are on it. Anyway, I got pissed at the aftermarket pads due to first, dust second, they dont last, and third, if they are made of hard substances, they squeal like a damn pig if not worse! i had a pair on my explorer for 3 months before i had to replace them. Im not sure what brand they were but 3 months?! Now i go to either Ford or Acura to get my pads. They might cost more, but the sure as hell last longer...

there is a switch under the e brake handle that opens when u put the brake down. if u spilled anything in there it might be sticky and nasty. take out your cupo holder and look in there with a flashlight. if the switch is working properly it must be the fluid level. dont just go adding fluid before cjeckinm otehr possibilities. word
