Does our cars have a CYP Sensor (Cylinder position)? I know that there is a TDC, CKP sensor but what about the CYP.

is it located by the timing belt, under the casing?
I know it somehow interacts with the distributor but does it go straight to the dist or does it go to it down by the cam gears , timing belt, etc.
I used my old harness and the distributor wires were different from the cl (external coil) so there was some modification there. I don't know if maybe I put the cyp sensor to the wrong thing or?
Fiill me in.
thanx bro. Howz the turboz runnning?

Its in the distributor. Its the brass guy on left of this pic:
The car runs like a dream. Havnt had time to put in the wideband since I'm insulating/painting the garage (prepping for the non-GA winter)

i am pretty sure i got it hooked up but the car still doesn't run.
Here is the prob. when i turn to key on and put the wire tester to the injectors and hold it there for ex: 8 sec each injector the car will run for about 3-5 seconds. WTF? It has to be something with the CYP right? You think it got fucked up when this shmuk plugged in both ecu's or maybe i still don't have it hooked up right or grounded. I gotta keep fuckin wit it.
Thanx.

If everything is in time and the sensor is good...you shouldnt have a problem.
Try this. Have a friend turn the car over while you move one of the plug wires from a plug. Does it act any different (are you getting spark to the plugs?)

yeah they get spark.
i already had to replace the integrated control module, i mean swap it from my 2.3.
it is all coming down to whatever controls the injectors, unless maybe they are not grounded correclty. I will figure this out today if i die trying. i passed out lastnight so -
thanx for the help.
