CV Boot DIY?

My car is at Acura for a CEL problem and they're tellin me the cv boot is busted.
I just drove it there yesterday and it felt fine, so I'm just going to replace the boot.

My mechanic charged me 180 total last time this happened, so I want to do it myself.

Anyone have a DIY?
Know what tools I'll need and about how long it takes?

Are the universal boots at places like Autozone ok to use?

The universal boots are ok to use TEMPORARILY. Its best and just easiest to replace the whole axle. If you use the universal, they are held together by plugs. If those plugs fall out or break, then you are right back to a busted boot.
At autozone the whole axle is 59.99+50.00 core charge, which you get back when you return your old ones. They are really easy to replace yourself.

I paid 70 for a set , and slipped em in when i dropped in my new springs, its not that hard, if you have a lift. Other than that i wouldnt know. I did it at my dads shop. I love that place.
