Your car isn't going to ride very nice and will get worse over time. That's the ghetto way to drop your ride.

your car will bottom out all the time, if you lower your car, youneed to increase the spring rates.

sometimes....only on progressive springs...on my 72 bug i cut the springs and tested the rate and they were still stronger than the lowering springs i had bought. But on cars like ours....the springs arent progressive enough to cut them and they still work.........get some lowering springs.....

You shouldn't even think about cutting the springs. The ride is going to suck if you do that. Your best bet is to buy lowering springs.

Yeah just by the springs, theres a million things that could go wrong when cutting your own springs.

i rode in a car yesterday that the guy had cut the springs.. i didnt know they were cut until all of a sudden he see's a speed bump and yellows "oh fuck!" and tries to slow down and then BANG.. --- we go over another speed bump about 15 sec later and he was going fucking slow and it was still a REALLY bumpy ride..

i wouldnt suggest it.. not a pleasant ride
