Custom Tail lights
Out of all the most customized first generation cl's I've seen, I've never seen anyone do anything with those "unattractive" tail lights. Oh, how I wish somebody made some euro lights for these cars. I am trying to get some custom made from west coast customs. Anyone know of anywhere or anyone who has any, or got any made?

I totally agree with you. Now when you say euro lights you don't mean the altezza type tils that have the circular shapes. I'd personally prefer some lights almost exactly like stock except clear instead of "fogged" or wahtever the stock ones are.
If anyone flames her or me for thinking this is a good idea then you might as well flame everyone who has clear corners. Becasue that's exactly what the clear corners are... Euro-style corners.

for you OG members, liloj and me remember this well
you are going to pay up the ying yang for custom tails and they wont look i dont think very well since its hard to do a one of a kind, west coast wont even touch it i think
your better off molding on a set of altezzas from another car

that's just a red X 97acura3.0cL...i wanna see wut the pic looks like!
and actually...if somebody could make a nice set of tail lights...it wouldn't be bad
i personally think carbon fiber euros/altezzas look really hot on a black car

what.. u guys are kidding me rite? i think 97-99 CLs got the tightest taillights.. especially its on a black CL.. its ill! thats probly another reason i got my CL its cuz of the taillight.. if i were u guys.. iwould try to make some custom LED jobs on ur old tailite.. thats what i am plannin on doing. Well, a strip of white clear like the new CLs wouldnt be too bad, but doubt thats ever gonna happen unless u have the swiss cheese like i dont.. all i got is coupons and foodstamps.

Oh i'm not gonna waste my time telling her how fugly Altezza lights are. I love the all red tail light, and even the reverse light is red inside thats so tight. All clear is tight too.

from about 100ft away, you can't even tell that i have tailights because they blend with the paint so well. I have a red car tho.

Anybody ever use a hobby smoke paint and smoke the tail lights? Then apply a clear coat over that for shine. I have seen it on other cars but not ours. I think it would prob look tight.

it has been done and it does not come out right, alwyas chips and fades away and does not stay on at all

nah.. it doesnt look THAT bad.. i still like how our taillight looks... wouldnt trade'em in for anything.
**BTW, THAT WAS A PHOTOSHOPED PICTURE OF MY RIDE** so its ok guys.. no CLs were harmed in this making =)

I am 100% happy with clear corners and stock taillights on my car. I'm all about the least number of colors on a car as possible. Obvioulsy the clears match the headlights in color, and my car is red so it matches the tails aok
I must say I do like th '03 tails a lot though.
