Is it possible to make an intake out of PVC pipe and put a filter on the end of it for a 2.2cl?

 

Sure, but why? Also I think i remember reading in the ram air post that you shouldn't use PVC pipe for intakes...can't recall why though...

I believe the reason that PVC doesn't work right or isn't a good choice rather... is that when the pipe heats up it gives off toxic fumes? I think I recall reading that on some other thread somewhere on here. So yeah like the others said... get one on ebay, since at least the pipe is some kind of metal and is bent right.

 

BLING That's what it was. And that is right. You would have to shield it from the heat of your engine somehow to avoid the toxic fumes. Having fumes come through the vents would suck lol

 

Yeah, i met a member of this board one day after class (he goes to the same school) he made his intake with PVC pipe and added a blower at the end.

that didn't look that bad. i thought i would look alot worst

 

he said he can felt a gain after installing that blower.

 

He only felt the boost when he was smokin' crack.
