Custom Carbon Fiber/Aluminum Trim

OK guys what do you think about this? How would it look if you took the stock "wood" trim out of the car, sprayed it aluminum silver and put it back in? The wood looks kind of fake to me and a bit overbearing although silver would kind of catch the eye as well. Thats where my second idea comes in. Is there some kind of tape available with carbon fiber pattern that you could just tape over a panel (such as the "wood" ones we have)? Thanks for reading my novel and let me know what you think.

yeh, it is possible to get a "carbon fiber look" sticker. it is made of vinyl and is relatively cheap, i'm not sure how it would look cuz i've never seen the actual vinyl CF sticker before in person, only in one picture. you can buy it at http://www.stickercity.com
if you decide to try it out, tell me how it goes and post some pics. i was thinkin bout doin this too, but i don't feel like bein the first to try and findin out that the sticker is cheap as hell lookin and wasn't worth my time.

From what I here it is impossible to remove the wood without breaking the clips that hold it in. If you still do it post some pics I'll like to see how it looks.

Sticker looks horrible. It's black with grey dots on it. If you have seen real carbon fiber the whole idea is that it has a deapth and you can see the weaving and how it catches light is unique. Sticker has none of this quality. Get gloss black sticker and then it would probably blend in better just to get rid of the wood.

Ive seen some other places, I think it was nopi.com, that have the carbonfiber trim kit. I think that is sticker also, might be better quality becasue that kit is $45. Let us know what you decide to do. Good luck

yeah the stickers i saw so far look really shitty. i mean the wood looks okay, i'm not trying desperately to get rid of it, i'd just like carbon fiber better. I agree that the whole thing about carbon fiber is the depth and how the light hits it. I'll let you guys know about what i'm gonna do.
