CT pads & warped rotors
ok - dealer installed ct pads for me in sept & turned my rotors. now, stock rotors are warped. dealers says it's due to aftermarket pads that are intended for slotted/drilled rotors to disperse heat.
No biggie - i can order ct rotors....will my pads be good? Will they just wear-down & get even? or do I need to get new pads too?
Was this something they should have brought up when they did the install?

if by ct u mean comptech then they are fuckin with you cuz acura dealers honor comptech parts and comptech parts void no warrenties either. they should have given you a diff reason. but its 6 months later and oem rotors suck. if u speed just one hard braking at 90+ can easily warp them

yeah - they're Comptech bads. I wanted to upgrade the brakes. Dealer said the rotors would be fine. Now, they're warped.
I'm going with better rotors - not the OEM's. Dealer was going to order/install OEM's though. That's when I asked him about the pads & is that maybe why I'm warped. He checked with a tech & confirmed that the pads are meant for drilled/slotted rotors.
I'm glad I brought it up to him
As for warranty - rotors wouldn't be covered anyway would they? Isn't that a "wear" item like tires & pads? I'm sitting at 55K on the mileage.
Thanks for the response though! I didn't know the stock rotors were THAT bad .....and I've been hard on the brakes at 90+ mph too.
oh well - upgrade time!!
