Couple of quick questions. Trans & Intake Manifold
#1 - Will an aftermarket H22 Intake Manifold with provisions for OBD1 IACV bolt onto an F23 Head? IE 92-95 Prelude IACV (2 wire).
#2 - Will a stock manual F23 trans bolt onto an H22? The clutches are identical so I imagine the trans will mate up with no issues.
I did a quick 1 hour search and read a few threads but I didnt see these pop up anywhere.
Thanks!

The h22 manifold will bolt up with a few modifications, but from the folks with accords that did it, its not worth the time and effort (not much of a gain if any). the ports arent the same size on the h22 manifold and f block. Some of the coolant ports dont match up like they should and the thermostat has to be relocated. I know you said you searched, but try again and it should come up.
As far as the f23 trans, it should bolt up to an h22. shineynitelite swapped an h22 tranny onto his f22 block, so im assuming that the opposite is possible. As far as i know, he didnt do any extensive modifications (if any at all). clman02 should know exactly what was involved with that swap.
good luck

Thanks for the link...the reason I am looking at swapping on an H22 intake manifold isnt neccessarily for the gains but more for the tunability.
The CL comes with a 3 Wire IACV and using a conversion harness and OBD1 ECU (P28) you will get an IACV code and lots of issues when trying to tune as the ECU flips out when a proper 2 wire IACV isnt hooked up. I can disable the error code in the program and unhook the 3 wire IACV which takes care of the bouncing idle but OBD1 ECU code still doesnt like it and there are wierd side effects.
So until they totally figure out how to bypass the IACV routines in the code...we are left to getting a proper 2 wire IACV fitted to the intake manifold.
I mean I could just remove the 3 wire IACV and block off the ports...hook up and wire in a 2 wire IACV and leave it dangling in the bay, but I really do like it when a car idles perfectly
FYI, I probably wouldnt go with a stock IM either...maybe a Blox or Skank2, and ultimately plan to boost her.

Would you only have that problem with the F23 or would it also happen with the F22? I got a chipped P28 and conversion harness that I plan on running and I can't really afford the downtime a problem like this would cause.

I dont know if the F22 have the 3-wire IACV or not...but I would assume they would.
I believe Honda went mostly to a 3 Wire for most of the newer vehicles. Finding a stock replacement IM w/ 2-wire though on the B, H and D-Series motors is pretty easy...the F's I unfortunately dont know as much about.
