counted the miles

Ok for a while people were talking about gas milage, but i never actually clocked what mine were on a FULL TANK of gas...
Right before i pumped up my tank again today my miles said 211.

211 miles on a full tank sucks! I wasnt even driving hard. And i only use my a/c once in a while...

For what reasons is my gas milage soo bad?

why does everybody measure mileage based on "tankfulls" of gas? you should note number of miles traveled and divide by gallons used... that's the accurate way to know MPG.

You may want to take advantage of the emissions recall. There may be an emissions-related problem with your car.

I got 325 out of a tank last time i took a highway trip. I thought that was pretty accurate.

yeah, the 2.2/2.3's should get at least 250 miles on a tank. 5 speeds get better milage. I also heard that bigger rims make your gas milage worse. How many gallons went in when you filled it up? Usually my gas light goes on, I fill up, and it only lets me put like 13-14 gallons in. We have a 17 gallon tank.

Thankfully Honda makes their gas gauges idiot proof by providing a few back-up gallons per se once the gas light goes on. I've traveled about 30 miles down the highway or 2 days in town with the light on and have yet to run out of gas (knock on wood). The best way for mpg calculations is what dogfight said, log your miles and how many gallons you put in the previous time for a few fill-ups, then divide 'em out and average 'em. That should give you a better understanding of you mpg and whether or not you ahve a prob.

Yep North Texas.

Its kind of a long story, but ill tell u in short form. Im a Senior here and a Criminal Justice major.

My aunt used to live in Tulsa actually and referred me to a school in Shawnee called St. Gregory's. I attended there my first year. My parents lived in Arlington at the time, which is only about 45 minutes away from NT. i didnt last at St G's, it sucked ass, so I decided to transfer to NT, since my sister grad. from there anyways. the year i transfer, my fathers job gets transferred to The Woodlands, so im still here. Ohwell, i only got a year left.

How bout that. I grew up in Dallas and moved from Tulsa last year. Here to OKC. I've been to Shawnee b4 (not much there). Got a friend who grew up in Spring and spent plenty of time in H-Town. Still have a few friends also at the UNT. We need to organize a meet in North Dallas some time. I'm sure most of us OKC folk would be down (Hoffines et al??). It'd be pretty cool.

i have a 2.3 and the manual says the tank is 17 gallons. the gas gauge appears to be at empty with about 3 gallons left. i average about 24mpg with the 5 speed mostly city driving.

Wow. I'm getting 27-28mpg, mostly highway. It helps that I rarely see the high side of 4k rpm.

On my last drive up to college, I hit 200 miles at the halfway mark, but my mileage then went downhill from there. Apparently on the last 100 miles or so my foot became heavy because the needle ran toward the E.

err.. please say in MPG.. not so many miles per tank.. cuz everyone fills up at different points... a while back.. some guy was saying how he only got 150 miles per tank.. and it was because it was filling up even before the 1/4 tank mark.." but it was a tank!" blah-- MPG PLEASE, i also thought i was getting kinda shitty gas mileage until i thought about it.. and i just get the average 21 mpg
