Coolant puddle on Driver side floor panel...

Sup Fellas...It's been awhile. Been travelling alot this year, but hope to get back into the forums here and spend a little more time perfecting my Ack with the help from yoos. The H22BlackAck still running pretty good....Got an idle problem that I have been procrastinating on, but let me get to my question for you CL Gurus..

Went to vaccum out the Ack today and when I lifted the floor mats, there is nothing but coolant..I never even smelled it, and it is only sopping on the driver side.. A buddy of mine told me it was prolly the heater core leaking..I have been hearing a slight gushing/sputtering sound coming from the firewall (I think) lately..

So does this problem ring any other bells with yoos? Could it be any other part of the coolong/heating system?

I have not got up under it yet (worked all day); but will be looking at it tomorrow.

If it is the heater core, has any here ever replaced/rapaired theirs? How Wuzzit? Parts? Kinda strapped on cash right now...

Any Help is appreciated.

bent piece of metal tube, just link the heater hoses together instead of running into and out of the firewall

Is it hard to get to?

Never looked for it before.... Is it on the driverside on the engine side of the firewall?

By bypassing it, what am I losing? Heat?

Sorry I am a noob at heating/cooling systems. If it is not leaking from a hose that I can see from the top of the eengine bay, then I am clueless.

So basically, the leak is for sure from the heater core and not a hose?
