Dont know if I spelled that right, but Ive been seeing alot of solaras (convertible) around where I live lately(I hate those cars, too fem for a guy). Has anyone thought of making the CL a convertible? or is it possible at all? i think our cars would look nice.

 

If you are willing to shell out about $14K + have your car trucked to Ohio - yes, it can be done.

 

yeah there are a couple of companies that will do it, it looks pretty good, but personally it isnt worth the money in my opnion

 

you think the solara is to femmy? It's a spitting image of our car almost!

 

I agree with ghander on this one. The CL is practically dead on our car. So, if you go convertible, you will be as fem as the people you see driving a solara.

yea, but you have the option of a manual and factory SC kit!

NO WAY... they might look similar, but the solara looks fem. Females look ok in that car, but a guy driving the car just looks gay. Atleast the CL looks unisex.

 

If the solara has the better options, why did you get a CL?

The Solara is one of the most fem cars out there. The rear looks like a woman’s rear (the amount of curvature in the trunk), plus anyone who drives it looks as if they are smashed up against the steering wheel like a 80 year old grandma driving her Sunday Cadi.

 

I think a convertible cl would be sweet, while i wouldnt want one for myself itd be sweet to see it done on the first or second gen, definatly would get you in the magazines
